Last year I donated this gorgeous vintage Italian bench to an auction benifitting Volunteers in Medicine. It sold before the auction even started. Go figure...they came calling again.
So I cruised down to my storage unit...and shopped.
I pulled out this pair of ugly ducklings. Vintage Century bergeres.
They really just need some new down cushions.
...a good dye job (Benjamin Moore's White Dove) and some new clothes. Well, hello, Kinomi by Peter Fasano.
Once again, Pete, you make my knees weak.
Pass the smelling salts, please.
hi! Love your blog :) Question, who does that pink ikat fabric on the chair I can see in your storage unit? thanks, Amy
ReplyDeleteThe pink ikat is from a robe that I bought on Ebay from Uzbekistan a few years ago!

I'm really lovin' the chairs. I love the shape.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking for pillows in my living room. I love the one you currently have too but my heart is set on the fabric from your chair!!! Is your chair the ikat chair Anne Harwell painted, looks like it?
ReplyDeleteI think I found some similar fabric on ebay today. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390112288587&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_3284wt_1167

you are hilarious. did you really buy a robe from uzbekistan? peter fasano... had not seen that one. love it.
ReplyDeletealso, did you finally get your remote control?
ReplyDeleteErika-No remote, yet...and, yes, I bought a robe from Uzbekistan that showed up looking like a big brown paper bag wrapped wad of hash. I'm sure the mailman thinks I am Eugene's version of Weeds.
ReplyDeleteStill coveting that klismos chair in your storage unit...
ReplyDeleteAnd next time we're drinking g & ts out at the club, I'm bringing Twister!
Great bench and chairs. But you've got me wondering- is that apple matting or something else underneath? Would love to know where you found it - I really like the braided edging. Michele
ReplyDeleteLove my kitchen backsplash and can't wait to see all the fabrics and pieces when they come together at the Dallas townhouse. Went by yesterday and the American Clay is gorgeous, thanks to Justin, Lorenzo and Eddie. They are doing a great job. Will pick out marble for the kitchen counter, glass tile for master bath wall, etc. on Monday. Also will meet with carpenter, Hector regarding building vanity for the powder room that will complement the light fixture and waxed walls.
ReplyDeletePatio is beautiful - can't wait until planting time.
Thanks much!!
